Fleetwood Mac, Anglo-American blues rock band. Created at the end of the 1960s, it changed its style from traditional blues, as in the album English Rose, to alternative rock and finally pop. Its most successful periods were in its beginnings, when among its founders was Peter Green, and in the last years of the seventies, when the voice of Stevie Nicks and the songs of Lindsay Buckingham were very successful.

Formed in 1967, in London by Peter Green (guitar), Jeremy Spencer (guitar), John McVie (bass), Mick Fleetwood (drums), the band began its career playing blues during a period of revival of the style. Peter Green was formerly a member of John Mayall’s legendary band where John McVie also played. They released the albums Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac, Mr. Wonderfull, English Rose and Pious Birds of Good Omen (compilation album) and some of their singles, such as Black Magic Woman and the instrumental Albatross, were at the top of the charts in England.
