When Nirvana disappeared in 1994, Dave Grohl, the drummer, formed Foo Fighters in Seattle in 1995. One of the curiosities is that Grohl stopped playing drums to lead the band in singing and playing guitar. Since then they have released several albums: “Foo Fighters” (1995), “The Colour And The Shape” (1997) and “There’s Nothing Left To Lose” (2000), with which they have managed to sell over 5 million copies worldwide. With more than 400 concerts behind them, they have become one of the leading and most needed rock bands of today.

For the recording of “There’s Nothing Left To Lose”, the group spent six weeks recording at Bear Creek Studios, in the American state of Washington, away from any noise or distraction, even living there. And after finishing the sessions in Los Angeles, the drummer Willian Goldsmith made the decision to abandon the group, finally replaced by Taylor Hawkins.

The third album of Foo Fighters was produced by the group itself and Adam Kasper, from which the magnificent first single “Learn To Fly” was extracted. – Foo Fighters Discography
