Misfits is a horror punk and hardcore punk band formed in 1977 in Lodi, New Jersey, originally led by singer Glenn Danzig and bassist Jerry Only. The band is linked to hardcore as well as being closely related to genres such as punk rock, heavy metal, rock and roll. Misfits has always shown affinity with the heavy metal audience, because their lyrics and attitude are different from those of previous punk bands.
