ABOUT THE BAND

Slaughter is a hard rock band formed in Las Vegas, Nevada, by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Mark Slaughter and bassist Dana Strum.

It was formed in the year 1988 from the ashes of the band Vinnie Vincent Invasion, where the already mentioned Slaughter and Strum came from, after musical differences with Vinnie Vincent, leader of the group and ex-guitarist of Kiss.

The band reached popularity in 1990 with their first album, Stick It to Ya, which contained some hits like “Up All Night”, “Spend My Life”, “Mad About You”, and the ballad “Fly to the Angels”. The album reached triple platinum status in the United States.

Although its success has diminished in that country, the band remains active, participating in tours like the popular The Rock Never Stops Tour, along with other bands of the same era like Quiet Riot, Warrant, L.A. Guns, Night Ranger, Poison and Cinderella.

As a curiosity it is worth mentioning that the super famous actress “Shannen Doherty” participated in the video clip “Real Love” during her beginnings in the artistic field.

They have only toured in Mexico twice: The first one with three dates sold out at the legendary Rock Stock Bar in 1996 sharing the stage with the Mexican bands Etérea and Lágrima Escarlata and the second one in 1997 with a date in Veracruz and another one in Mexico City at the Monumental Bullring sharing the stage with Quiet Riot and the Mexicans Kerigma, La Castañeda and Cuca (half of the album Eternal Live was recorded at this concert and the other half at a show in Las Vegas).
