ABOUT
Tenacious D (also known as The D) is a satirical rock band composed of musicians and actors Kyle Gass (also known as KG or Rage Kage) and Jack Black (JB or Jables). They are known for their classic rock mixed with comedic lyrics. The band gained fame in 1999, thanks to their television show of the same name.
On their two albums the drums are played by Dave Grohl (of Nirvana, Foo Fighters and Them Crooked Vultures).
Jack Black met Kyle Gass when the former was 16 years old and the latter 24, in Los Angeles (1985). Both were members of the theater company “The actor’s gang”. Grass taught Black to play guitar and soon after they formed the band.
