ABOUT THE BAND
Velvet Revolver was formed when three former members of the group Guns N’ Roses, Slash (guitar), Duff McKagan (bass) and Matt Sorum (drums), joined former Buckcherry Josh Todd (vocals) and Keith Nelson (guitar) to play in a benefit concert for drummer Randy Castillo in 2002. It was at this time that they decided to form a band. The group was known as “The Project” while they were finding a better name. Later Todd left the group and it was then when the group made auditions to look for a vocalist, among those who participated were Todd Kerns (Age of Electric), Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), Kelly Shaefer (Atheist), and Travis Meeks (Day of the New), but none remained. – Velvet Revolver Discography 320 kbps
